Residential Green Waste Collection

Residential Green Waste Collection

Green Waste Phone Number – 9387 8521

Unlimited green waste collections are available to your household on request. The city’s green waste collection service is accessed via a twenty-four hour, seven-day-a-week telephone answering service. To make sure your green waste can be collected please follow the below advice:

  • Bags of leaves, fresh lawn, clippings and weeds (no sand) will only be accepted in the approved green waste collection bag, available from the city’s Administration Centre.
  • Prunings can be placed on the verge. These should be limited to branches no greater than 1.5 metres in length and placed with the larger end towards the kerb
  • Tree trunks or stumps are to be cut to a size one person can lift (up to 15 kilograms)
  • The minimum volume which will be collected is half a standard trailer load, however neighbours can combine to reach this amount

When you need a collection, simply ring the collection service number on 9387 8521. Listen to the service requirements and then leave a message after the beep. Be sure to give your name, address and day time telephone number. Your collection will then automatically take place within three working days.

Subiaco Oval Road Closures

Subiaco Oval Road Closures

Road closures in and around Subiaco Oval on match days are in place to facilitate the safe access to and egress from the stadium for patrons as well as assisting with traffic flow around the match.

Pre match road closures are in place from one hour prior to the schedule commencement of the match. Roads effected are as follows:

Pre Match Road Closures

The following roads are closed from 1 hour prior to the scheduled match commencement:

* Subiaco Road west of Coghlan Road
* Coghlan Road for north bound traffic (vehicles are unable to turn left of Roberts Road into Coghlan Street. Subiaco Road is accessible via Hamilton Street)

Vehicles with access passes are able to pass through the Subiaco Road closure. Passes must be shown to traffic management personnel.

Post Match Road Closures

The following roads are closed from 30 minutes prior to the scheduled completion of the match through to approximately 30 minutes after the match:

* Roberts Road from Rokeby Road to Coghlan Road. Roberts Road is unable to be accessed from Townshend Road or Ellen Street. Vehicles that access
* Roberts Road from Catherine Street will be directed off Roberts Road at Axon Street.
* Subiaco Road from Coghlan Road west. Access to Subiaco Road is prevented at Thomas Street. Coghlan Road and Hamilton Road are closed for north bound traffic (traffic heading towards Subiaco Road).
* Townshend Road from Hay Street to Roberts Road.
* Haydn Bunton Drive.
* Salvado Road from McCort Street to Station Street. (Access to SJOG Hospital for non emergency purposes is via Cambridge Street.

Detours are in place to guide vehicles around the road closures.

Access to SJOG Hospital

Due to the road closures, access to the main public car park is restricted. To alleviate this issue, visitors to the hospital are able use the Station Street rear access for car parking facilities (off Darcy Lane). You can enter Station Street off Cambridge Street (from both the east and west) or if you’re coming from the coast, you can use Salvado Road and turn left into Station Street before the traffic lights. Patients and visitors will be guided by Hospital Security Officers at the carpark.
